I’ve flown up through low-level fog and gotten some nice images from above it.My M2P did have a bit of moisture on it upon landing so I probably won’t do it again.
However, it goes on to say:

(1) The remote pilot in command and the person manipulating the flight controls of the small unmanned aircraft system...
Same here. I typically go a couple of miles out over water and forests here and I’m always aware of altitude/signal strength/location. Will it be much more difficult to find the drone if it goes down? Sure, but that’s a personal (financial) risk I’m willing to take. I would have bought a Spark...
Ahh - probably because of the dam. There are some restrictions on flying near “critical infrastructure facilities”. Check out Seven Points and Vivrett Creek boat launch areas on Percy Priest and Shutes Branch launch on Old Hickory Lake. Those are some of my regular places.

It would be great if DJI would develop an “intelligent charger” that had the option to automatically charge or discharge the batteries to the ideal storage charge. Like the 4 battery charger they have now but maybe with a “maintenance” button that would activate that feature. Just a thought.
I’ve flown with my M2P and 3 batteries a couple of times. I put it all in the Fly More bag which then went into my backpack with other misc camera gear and electronics. Not a peep from TSA, although I am pre-check so that helps.
