Dronedj has some conflicting information on this. On one hand they say, 'According to the latest timeline shared by the tech giant, a Remote ID firmware upgrade for the Mavic Air 2 might not drop until September 30, 2023.' But if you follow the links to RID capable aircraft, the Air2 is not...
I think the focus needs to be on operational safety. Too many of the questions seem to be plucked from existing non-drone exams. Airport signage? Flight restrictions over 400 feet? I would be willing to write some questions!
Much of this string focused on the fixed wing questions which kind of miss the mark. Another example is airfield signage. No drone pilot ever needs to worry about taxiway signage/designations. If you are close enough to read those signs, you are in trouble. Let's agree the 107 test needs serious...
Venice Municipal is 'uncontrolled', has no tower and is in class G airspace. FAA rules let you fly near there but need to yield to manned aircraft. DJI Fly sees it differently however...
Know this is an old thread but why would the direction of the turn matter on a quad? I am familiar with single outboard motorboat turns but there prop torque plays a role. That is balanced on a 4 prop drone.
Just opened the nd filters that came with my Air2 flymore combo. The nd 16 blocks more than enough light, requiring an ISO adjustment. What in the world does one do with an nd 264? Shoot solar eclipses? ;-)
I too live near that airport and restriction near there interest me. DJI blocks a lots of areas even vaguely in the area. On one hand I suspect I could hover at the runway intersection legally but for my inability to participate in UNICOM. The Circus Bridge is within sight of the runway end with...
This might have done it. I did three things at once, removed the screen protector, did the reset, and threw in a firmware update. Good now but as Gadget Guy mentioned, screen sensitivity is not a strong point on this device
I bought my Air 2 with the care refresh program but wonder/doubt if the Smart Controller is also covered? The screen sensitivity on the SC ain't so good, I can't select my target for hyperlapses and suspect the touch screen is flawed. Any thoughts on how to best proceed?
