With Covid I assume they are limiting class size, curious how long it took when you scheduled to actually get in and take your Part 107 exam.

I have owned a photography business for 15 years and going to add drone services so want to not only get the part 107 exam done but also want to learn as much as possible about laws etc. Are these online courses worth buying, or are they a waste of time? If you can recommend one or other...

Have not found any recent threads and wondering if there are any new and improved mounts for mounting my iPad mini 4 to Pro controller. Curious as to how you are mounting yours and if you like it. Does seem to fit pretty well in the phone holder, just not sure if that's the best option.

Just very new to flying and hard to believe a drone can stay that steady for any length of time. Wind should be 5 mph or so.

I can turn my porch light on, and when I say go straight up I mean lift off and go straight up 100' and stay right there. I just need to get above houses and small tree line. I just was not sure if return to home needed to see the ground or was more gps. I can easily light up the direct area...

I am curious if return to home works in the dark? I want to video some fireworks from my backyard so plan on just going straight up about 100' or so but wonder what happens if wind or something happens and it drifts off. I will not be around people or anything just open field.

Thanks for the responses. Today as I was learning to fly it I did it in plain sight and at a pretty low level making it obvious I was practicing and only circling the drainage area. I would hope it would be clear a set of binoculars or telescope would be much more intrusive and easier to use to spy.

I live in a subdivision and from my backyard can fly around a drainage system free of houses that is kept mowed. There is a walking path through it but I can avoid that area. I practice here but wonder since neighbors can see me practicing will this be an issue of creating dislike from them...

Recently moved to Wentzville and just got a Mavic Pro Platinum. Finally did a few test flights today and am loving it although a little nervous. :)
