Original Mavic pro did well in the rain. The user manual didn’t prohibit flying in rain, rather it indicated that gimbal may not operate
Correctly when wet but operation will return to normal once dry.
I find this interesting.
I fly 90% of the time with obstacle avoidance off and rarely rely on the technology to keep the drone from
Crashing.
I like to fly close to things and find oa Typically gets in the way of my style of flying.
Side sensors? Like that’s a deal killer?
I fly hundreds of hours per year and probably 80% is with obstacle avoidance off.
I assume anybody who likes to fly close to things also flies without obstacle avoidance.
this!
I have flown original mp from outside to inside many times (with prop cages) and there is all kinds of uneasiness when the aircraft switches from gps to vision, sometimes not accepting any stick inputs for severalSeconds while it just does what it wants to do.
a bit unsettling the first...
I have m2p and use PD and I find that the videos actually look better when shot in 2.7k 60fps. Plus, they are a lot easier files for my computer to handle.

Posting this a little late. I had shot some of these dams before and after they failed as a hobby, then got deployed to fly government drones for emergency management during the remainder of the incident and didn’t have any free time.
This dam failed within hours of this footage.
Agreed. And he did.
full disclosure, I am a career firefighter and fly drones as part of my job. I work far away from where I live.
also, in this case, i occasionally shoot drone video of emergency incidents in the town where I live, as a hobby.
my typical process is this: I have blanket...
most of the departments around here do not have any fire hydrants so they have to truck in all of their water. These portable tanks allow the tanker trucks to dump their water and leave.
it’s pretty neat watching them set everything up and thing more or less running like clockwork.
it is...
I’m just a geek that likes to play with drones. I have a good relationship with local fire chiefs. When I’m available and they get a big fire, they allow me access to shoot drone video.
as a courtesy, I give the chiefs first access to the video and allow them
To veto anything they would...
