Took off from a viewing area that was above a deep canyon, probably 200' above the canyon floor. As I was attempting to fly down to the bottom of the canyon, the altitude telemetry indicated a minus. How do I adjust the telemetry data when the home point is higher than where I am flying?
First and foremost, the Mavic Pro or Mavic Platinum are very sophisticated drones and require a great deal of knowledge of computers, devices (either IOS or Android) and piloting skills. Do not get too comfortable with the YouTube or DJI videos on how easy these drones are to operate...
When I power up the Mavic, the gimbel does not move at all in any direction. Even when I tilt it up, down or sideways. Not sure I understand your question about the "over heating"? The warning I get is "gimbel obstructed, remove clamp, aircraft over heating".
Mavic Pro had slight crash. I am now getting a message stating "Gimbel Obstructed" cannot take off. I have recalibrated everything using the DJI Asst 2; attempting to calibrate gimbel using the DJI Go 4 app and have tried to find a fix online. Have not been able to find any solution. After...
Why can't I simply remove the SD card from the Mavic and put it into the goggles? When I try that, it seems like the goggles do not recognize the SD card from the Mavic.
Still looking for a simple way to watch video from the Mavic on my DJI Goggles. Take video with Mavic, remove SD card and put it in my goggles. No files. Put SD in my computer. Files are there. Any ideas?
That would be way too easy! Much faster and much clearer either on the forums or searching YouTube. But, you are right. Honestly, I wonder how many people really read that manual?
Thank you so much for your help! That fixed the Zebra stripes immediately! I don't know what I would do without this forum! Trying to talk with DJI techs is not my favorite thing to do!
Went to fly this morning and the video via the DJI Go 4 app had what I can only describe as Zebra looking stripes. Any idea what is causing this and then how to fix?
So, in sum, as long as you connect the mobile device to the controller via a proper cable, you do not need either wifi or cell service to pilot the Mavic using the DJI Go 4 app?
I guess I am confused about how the aircraft, controller and app communicate. Someone posted that neither cell service or wifi is needed to pilot a Mavic Pro using the DJI Go 4 app? Can anyone on the forum explain how the interaction between the aircraft, controller and app work? Thanks.
I have lost 2 Mavic Pros because RTH failed. DJI ignores my request for reasons. The first was covered by insurance (an absolute must for drone owners!) the second is being replaced by DJI under warranty. To me, the issue is the failure of RTH and has it been resolved. As I said, DJI will...
