    Optimising battery use

from what I understand, the mini batteries aren't intelligent so don't self discharge

    Optimising battery use

Against all recommendations, I charge mine and keep them at 100% so always available should I need them. Didn't fly for 6 months or so over the winter and they obviously lost charge. Charged them back to full when I wanted them again, as though I'd used them the day before. Flown them a fair bit...

First flight in over 6 months - any extra checks/precautions?

Ha ha, you need to take a good book with you! Well I think we've proven maybe managing the batteries would be optimal but not necessarily required... Or we've just been lucky!

First flight in over 6 months - any extra checks/precautions?

How'd you get on @cambspilot ? Like you, mine hibernated for the winter. Batteries were left on a full charge last autumn. Charged them up, was exactly the same as if I'd flown it yesterday (apart from my skills which were a little rusty!) Gone through all batteries at least three time in the...

Anybody using the MM to set throw lines for arborist work?

Found it It's not pretty and not something I'd do, but learn from his mistakes! Think he was lucky coming down, seemed to keep the string between the props! Just googled this, I know nothing about it but could work...

Anybody using the MM to set throw lines for arborist work?

Yeah buddy, 100% mini. As the throw rope isn't the big thick one, it handled it well. Obviously not as good as bigger drones would have. I'll try and find a link...

Anybody using the MM to set throw lines for arborist work?

Can't remember the poster but seen a vid on youtube of a guy doing this at his home ranch. Bit of trial and error, but he managed it ok. Not sure I'd recommend- thinking more of the descent as mentioned already above but yes, I've seen it and it can be done!

Why does my Spark have better photo quality than Mavic mini

I'd suggest because they are different cameras/different landscapes/different angle of shot/different camera settings...

Mavic Mini Take off motor rotation crash

They're not motor covers, it's red expanding foam used to fill the unsightly holes on top of the motors ???

Mavic Mini Take off motor rotation crash

As others stated above, check the props are where they should be- take a look at the manual and it explains about the notches and things to look for on how to do correctly. Personally, I'd also remove all the aftermarket stuff you've put on too, to rule out any issues with that.

Home Location off by a few feet

In the nicest possible way, poor excuse. It's your craft, you're the pilot, your responsibility- make that part of your take off checklist!

2 Zoom Caught Roofers nailing shingles over wood

I'll save you another £1300... Forget the shingle and just nail a tarp over your roof... Might not work but saved you money ;) Have to agree with @BigAl07 here- you haven't "saved" any money, you've just created a costly problem in the future!
