    Mavic Air prop bites

I regularly hand land my MP. I hover 2 feet above then initiate landing and it lands on my hand. Simple. If you try to hold it and THEN initiate landing, it will fight you.

Yes, I sadly lost my mavic. Any ideas?

I was thinking, reading these comments, that perhaps the MP would not respond to stick movements due to it being in a position where the sensors were telling it that there was an obstacle…. but if you tried all directions then that wouldn’t be the answer. I have no experience of flying with...

Very interesting arrest of drone pilots

These people were animals rights activists. It was in their interest to escalate the situation for publicity purposes. Having said that, the police response was totally over the top given the number of police officers involved. Turning it into a traffic violation stop was a blatant abuse of...

(Warning) Avoid this low battery RTH mistake

However, it still doesn't answer the question as to why it did not initiate an RTH as soon as the controller was turned off......

(Warning) Avoid this low battery RTH mistake

That makes sense and does explain the whole situation. Thanks for clearing that up!

(Warning) Avoid this low battery RTH mistake

I have read through all the posts on. This subject and it seems that everyone is forgetting that there was apparently a gap of 5 minutes between the MP "landing" and the unexpected takeoff. The RTH then would not have been triggered by loss of signal from the controller as that would happen...

    Wind awareness

I totally agree with this suggestion - if I saw an estimated wind speed of say 30kmh I would take a lot of notice. Instead I get a “High Wind Warning” most times I fly, which I ignore after checking that the MP is not struggling.

    Gimbal overload with Ultimaxx Filters

The only reason to use an ND filter (not a polarizing one) is to achieve a more cinematic shot. We are used to seeing TV and movies shot at 24 or 25 games per second with what is called 180 degree shutter speed (1/50th).To achieve that in a camera with no aperture control requires the use of an...

    Messages, information, other signals, leds

I get a wind warning almost every time I fly. After checking to see that the MP is behaving satisfactorily, I ignore it. As a result I don't take it very seriously. This might get me into trouble one day, I know, so I WOULD like to know at what wind strength the warning is generated and if there...

Lost my DJI Mavic pro on my first flight [ DRONE FOUND]

The first thing to do when your MP is fully dried out is to do calibrations of everything - compass, IMU, gimble - make sure that you are away from any possible magnetic interference when calibrating the compass including watch/phone & any other metal. I am so glad you found your MP and much...

    Do you tag your drone?

I have my mobile number on in two places plus the IAA registration sticker.

Just broke my Mavic on the first day!

The movement you are seeing is the gimble initializing on switch on. This is normal and it is the gimble doing a self test. after that initial movement, it should stay still. I also flew my MP indoors first day and also had an unexpected rapid movement and crashed. Thanfully I only broke 2...
