Im actually with @WithTheBirds on this one. Yes, its true that the 5.8Ghz band allows for faster rates of transfer, however, the power that is omitted from the controller is what sets range for the drones, not the frequency. Take the MM, in the U.S it only operates in the higher frequency...

Well i finally received mine today after a three and half week wait... Will be opening this weekend for sure with the excellent weather as just dont seem to have the time currently! Enjoy the drone

CN is essentially chinese model i presume, which resides by FCC regs.

Maybe DJI have patched the hack, however forgot to patch it for ios? ? And tbh, in china the android users greatly outnumber the IOS users!

Lets just say its easy to get away with paying duty, a friend told me ;). With regards to warranty, DJI wouldn't warrant an FCC drone in Malaysia, if Malaysia abides by CE rules and regs. The FCC would be classed as a secondary import.

The MM "deformity" of the case was just bad human practise ? I cant vouch for the air yet as i haven't received.
