Yep, but the control sticks don't appear to bias at all when at rest according to GO4, maybe 1-2% before I re-calibrated it. Besides, why on earth would switching to photo mode make it stop if it was a stick bias error?
I've flown many many times with no issue. But now, on my last couple of flights, my controller has been beeping CONSTANTLY for the ENTIRE flight and is annoying the heck out of me. I calibrated the IMU and control sticks - no dice. Today during a flight I happened to switch to photo mode (was in...
Today I was flying my Mavic Air and all was well until I ascended to 200FT and started a (manual) orbit, when the gimble went crazy. As for what I mean by "crazy", it was quite similar to this although in addition to "dangling" it also shook. I was fairly sure it wasn't wind, since the tops of...
I've read on various threads that enabling USB Debugging on an Android device increases the stability of the control app. Since I have Android app development experience, and I know what USB Debugging is used for normally, I'm extremely puzzled how enabling it could increase app stability. For...
I've been doing some research on the compatibility of the Pixel 1st gen with DJI Go 4, but all the threads I've found are years old. Does anyone have a more recent compatibility assessment?
Is it possible to have the DJI GO 4 app show the current heading of the drone in degrees? The indicator in the lower left corner is better than nothing, but having degrees would be really great. And I imagine the app must have that information internally anyway, otherwise how would it be able to...
If you're in a big open field, sure... in my case it came a bit too close to an obstacle for comfort, but in a more extreme case that 5 feet might be the difference between a safe landing and landing in a pool or something. Granted, it is the responsibility of the pilot to ensure a safe...
True, and I'll do some more testing as I have time. I guess I was just dissapointed that it failed so badly without giving any warnings like "unable to find target, preforming standard landing" or something like that.
Yes I did; perhaps I don't understand how DJI's computer vision algorithm works.... I've done some CV myself, and if the system is just comparing images to try to line them up, one would think it would be to line up two bright orange spots very easily.
Like I said, I used the "precision takeoff" option which automatically ascends to 20ft. I was landing on grass, but on a big orange circular landing pad....
I just got a landing pad for my Mavic Air, so I though I'd do a short test flight (with precision takeoff) and then do RTH to see how accurately it could land back on the pad.... it completely failed by my standards, as it missed the pad entirely by about 5 feet! Any ideas/suggestions/thoughts...
