Do you mean for the Gimbal to move to 0 degrees vertically, but remain at 30 degrees horizontally? If so, I’m not aware of anyway to do that. I believe it is either 0,0 or 0,90 downward. Again, others?

My experience is you can toggle between 0 degrees forward and 90 degrees down. Anybody correct me if I’m wrong.

I’m confused by this. What version of the app are you running? I got my iPad app updated earlier in the week. No firmware, but the app updated to 1.1.6 and includes the advanced gimbal settings.

I would tend to agree. I think removing side to side would be quite useful. I try not to use it almost all the time when I’m flying. So far I only use it for lining up for a landing. The ability to shut it off would make flight much easier for me. It’s a welcome option AFAIC.

I understand that. I had never seen them before and was wondering why chunks of my fpv were striped out. Now that I know what they are, I can turn the warning back on and use them when/if I need.

That is smart thinking. I haven’t powered up, yet, without removing the cover, but I’ve caught myself a few times Close to it. I do use a checklist when I fly off my property, but not always while backyard flying.

Depending on your tablet holder, you may not even need a longer cable. I made a holder out of Velcro Hangables and the stock cable length is perfect, as is the angle of the tablet and it doesn’t interfere at all with the controls. The mini 5 seems plenty bright to me.

IMO...strictly for drone use, no. I‘d take that $100 and put it toward a personal cloud drive for photo/video storage (Buffalo 4 TB comes to mind). Then you can edit them from any device you want.
