Yes GadgetGuy that is the main reason for for buying it. Yes nedcook I have considered it but buying the Air 2S would cost me more than twice what I am paying for the Air 2 I'm getting. Yes I have seen the difference in cameras but for me what I have is enough for now.

Thank you, I was hoping that was the case. Yes I have numbered my original batteries for the reason you stated, we do that with our airplane batteries as well. I will now feel comfortable buying the second unit I am looking at. I do not think having a spare is bad. :)

I have left my Mavic Air 2 in storage since last October and upon recharging and atempting to fly I noticed all my initial settings from last year are gone. Does this happen regularly? Do I need to plan for this memory loss on my next storage? This seems weak.

I believe DJI states that the iPad Air gen 1 does not have a processor fast enough, they recomend an iPAD Air gen2 or newer as thy have faster processors.

Drats! I goofed again. Upon further review I see I was looking at the Mavic 2 Pro case when I thought it would hold an iPad. Sheesh.....just too much information in a small amount of time. I must verify before I post. Sorry for the wrong information.

I think, if it is the same case I ordered, if you lift out the blue foam there is a layer of foam below it with punch outs for an iPad.
