Having seen "influencers" on youtube spend ridiculous amounts of money creating some kind of attraction, it wouldn't really surprise me if someone like that initiated it. But we know the military already uses drones also. I guess I don't think it's all that mysterious.

If DJI or some other App can automatically show me permitted flying areas. I think I last remember flying when you checked for nearby airports or school zones on your own. If there's an auto-generated map app, I'll add that or check that. Seems like by now that ought to be a thing. : )...

I was thinking with a helium aided drone your airtime could be vastly extended. Something like with the mini which is light. But it would take a bit more of a contraption then just attaching a balloon to it. And you might need a device to deflate the balloon some to bring it down. No doubt...

Never say never. (Except to flying cars, that will never happen j/k) Drone doesn't have to fly over a road directly to take a camera shot, as it can take an angled shot if so designed. I don't know enough about the FAA to say one way or another but found this when I looked up exemptions...

Not really news that more state entities are finding ways to use drones. Was just thinking with some high performance drones highway patrol may start pacing speeders and then dropping them down taking a pic of the license. And possibly even pulling over the front of the vehicle and turning on...
