Hard case, Soft case, or Both

Lykus is a great case for storage and for when you need to carry around your complete kit. RLSOCO makes a great semi-hard case for essentials and daily carry.

Dji RC or Ipad mini 6???

As I said, I connect it to the controller via HDMI. Result: very bright and larger screen with no lag.

Dji RC or Ipad mini 6???

From what I’ve read, the Tripltek 9 is indeed a great tablet—and not a bad phone, either. But if you really want ‘bright’ check out a Feelworld 7inch 2200 nits field monitor (or the bigger 26nits model). I used to use my 12.9inch iPad Pro with a home-made ‘hood’ connected via HDMI to my original...

Flying my Air 2S ... and another pilot launching his Mavic 3 at the same time! A discussion on deconfliction

I don’t see the presence of another drone as a problem. You are responsible only for the drone you are flying, and situational awareness is what VLOS is all about. In the area that I live—a picturesque part of northern New South Wales (Australia)—it’s not uncommon to see several drones in the...

bummed new Air 2 owner LOL

Are you aware of how the sticks work when the drone’s rear end is facing you?

And a Merry Christmas to you, too, Chris. Lovely work, as usual.

Do any of you know ways of making it easier to reacquire visual site of your drone after looking away from it for a bit? Try polarized sunglasses.

    Mavic 3 Atti mode happened.

Go out in standard mode into the wind and harness the speed of the wind in Atti on the return.

    Mavic 3 Atti mode happened.

Thanks. I’ve been wondering if Aussie training schools were able to use Mavics instead of Phantoms for students seeking their Remote Pilots Licence (RePL). As part of the official flight test that is required for the RePL, you must be able to demonstrate that you can control the drone in Atti.

    Mavic 3 Atti mode happened.

Yes, you could go in and out of Atti on the Phantoms via a manual switch. Wasn’t aware that any of the Mavics allowed this.

How do you put a Mavic into Atti mode to practice?

Brightness/size of a Tripletek for an Air 2s, but closer to 500~600?

The iPad Pro 12.9 is a superb ‘monitor’ for flying, with two provisos: it’s heavy and will lower the screen brightness if it gets too warm. There are several cures for the first, including special mounts or even a monopod or tripod. As for the second, I’ve not found a method of shielding the...

Sell me on the Mavic 3 Classic, or not.

A couple of years ago, I got tired of waiting for the Mavic 3 and bought a Mavic Air2 as an interim machine (I’d had a Phantom 4 but decided it was too bulky to carry around all the time and I don’t like to leave valuables in a parked car for various reasons). When it came out, the price of the...

This might prove interesting, BBC page so I am not sure who will be able to open it

Some years ago I was a journalist based in Delhi and I don’t underestimate their technical capabilities. They are, after all, a nuclear power and build some interesting communications equipment.
