Didn't mean lower the antennas on the controller, meant lower the controller which will lower the antennas.

Which means the farther your drone travels away from you, you'll need to lower the controller antennas for best signal. Assuming you maintain the same altitude.

If you mean the one out on the rocks, no. That's the Battery Point Lighthouse near Crescent City, CA. Harbor Oregon and Crescent City, CA are only 20 miles apart.

You are exactly right. I go camping and love to fly with no interference....staying under an extended branch to block the sun with a clear line between the controller and drone is the best of both worlds.
