My house shows to be within the 5 mile zone of 2 'airports' -- both defunct, but still in the FAA DB. I tried calling the numbers for each, get either a disconnected or fast busy on all. I logged when the calls were attempted, stuck that somewhere safe, and called it good.

If the Mavic is still flying, I'd take the top of the head. Less chance of lacerations from the spinning props!

I don't doubt it a bit. . mine felt like it was never going to move, then it finally loosened all of the sudden. I honestly thought I was going to break the gimbal several times.

Are you sure you changed the setting to write to the internal flash? I've plugged the drone into the Mac several times and see the internal flash, with photos/videos in the proper directory.

Many of those drones are operated by law enforcement, thus may not be subject the same regs as the rest of us.

I've had 2 iPad Pro 9.7's, one 128GB and one 256 GB. Unless you're storing a lot of large data directly on the iPad (movies, large local caches of files. etc), 256GB should be fine.

Isn't the 400' limitation heigh above ground, not height above starting point?

Are you doing the button sequence to enable the drone's wifi? During operation with the controller, video feed comes through the cable.

I took the Mavic Air out on the boat for the first time today. We have a cuddy cabin, so have a nice launch/landing platform. Even with float attachments on the drone, it lanunched and landed on the bow with no trouble at all.

Make sure you confirm with Celebrity that they allow drones on the ship. Some cruise lines (Disney is one--see HERE) do not allow you to bring a drone on the ship--full stop. Since your carry-on goes through an X-ray on boarding, odds are good they'd see it.
