    Photo quality?

the files came from here: https://dronexl.co/2021/11/05/download-dji-mavic-3-sample-photos-video-footage/

    Photo quality?

Sure - here's an example of the 'false colour' moire that i've seen creeping in to example files I've looked at. Agreed, it is likely only going to be an issue on bright, strong contrast, highly patterned situations. Examples here are from the jpeg file (which has auto corrected the moire in...

    Photo quality?

i can see slight colour moire on some detailed sections (the fencing). It would show up more if it was brighter.

    Photo quality?

I've had a look at some sample DNG files from various sources and false colour fringing (moire) on fine details on the M3 is absolutely horrendous. The camera produced jpeg doesn't show the issue so there must be some form of correcting filtering being done in camera but if you work with raw...

Mosaic pattern on DNG raw photos

I've been working with sample DNG files in advance of committing to purchasing the Mavic3 and the false colour/moire issue was one that I spotted on all the example files I downloaded. It doesn't seem to appear on the camera generated jpeg so the drone must have some kind of correction filter...

UK drone code - flying over crowd not prosecuted

A couple of guys who were caught and arrested flying drones over a huge crowd at a fireworks display had their court case dropped today. Looks like the Air Navigation Order in the UK is effectively unenforceable. I was at the display - they were directly over the huge crowd and the Police were...

UK - how do new no-fly areas get added?

Yes I have that and use that. It doesn't though offer any insight into how locations can add themselves as no fly/advisory areas so that the DJI app will eventually provide a warning once they update their database.

UK - how do new no-fly areas get added?

Does anyone know how new no-fly / advisory zones get added in the UK? There is a big tourist attraction near me that is a place of mass public gathering and they have signs up reinforcing that people shouldn't be flying there. It's not shown on DJIs database so it is a regular haunt for people...

Now that I have actually used the air a little more... I am extremely disappointed.

DJI make great drones but are certainly not experts when it comes to photo stitching. For big pano images I'd recommend a specific pano stitching software package rather than Lightroom. Lightroom still isn't quite there when it comes to full 360x180 photospheres. HUGIN is free and really...

    Platinum props on Mavic Pro?

I went back to using the stock props as I kept getting the gimbal shake error. I also felt it struggled to hold position a bit in windy confitions with the low noise props. Shame as they are definitely a lot quieter.

    Pictures not saving on phone

Today, I was prompted to update the firmware so updated it and then flew. Now photos are automatically getting synced to my phone again. Great to have it back again.

    Regular or low noise props?

I've recently put the low noise props back on (authentic DJI ones) but had to go back to standard as i was getting gimbal shake errors once hovering that took several restarts to clear. My first flight out with the low noise props back on also ended with me spotting a hairline stress crack on...

    Pictures not saving on phone

Following my last flight nothing appeared on my phone. I then took out the memory card from the Mavic and transferred the pics to my laptop. I deleted the pics off the memory card. One day later the pics then mysteriously appeared on my phone without me doing anything further. Bizarre. I...

    Cracked plastic

Thanks. It was brand new from a major online retailer so I'm well within any warranty period.

    Cracked plastic

Never been crashed. I've been a very pedestrian flyer with it as I just use it for still photography. I've only ever used sport mode once for a few minutes! It looks like a stress crack.
