You couldn't be more wrong about that. Android is built on Linux, the most ubiquitous OS on the planet, in everything from microcontollers to supercomputers. Anyway, posting just to dish on Android is not helpful to the thread. Not everyone has to use the same phone, drone, or drive the same car...

I've never seen this in 8 years of using various Android devices with other apps - I think it's really just a problem with the DJI app not making sure these directories are excluded from indexing - something they could easily fix in the app.

Possibly because the Commercial Drone Alliance is trying to get section 336 repealed and make everyone fly under Part 107. It's in these app's best interest (not the users) to only support 107 so they can monetize it. That's my take, anyway, and it's probably wrong. ;-)

The identification and flight information section has always been there for me - 3 or 4 months I've had my Air. There are posts here about it even, because I wondered what it was for.

I'm not quite sure why you're riding on my topic to push your video, but there's certainly a few different ways to solve this. Makers might like to have a 3d printed design - is fun to create and build your own tools and such.

Are those the STLs from here? DJI Mavic Air Extended Feet by josephchh - looks like the same ones. I printed a set of those, haven't flown with them yet, but they fit pretty well. I'll probably tweak them to fit a bit tighter. I did need to rotate them to make the tabs/slot more structural. Fun...

Being able to plan on a desktop would be really great, I agree - hard to do on a mobile device...

My understanding is that you can choose to fly either under section 336 or part 107, so you would provide the information relevant to your intended flight. Once you choose, you cannot switch to different rules during that flight. I don't know the legality of putting both numbers on the drone...

Actually, cards meeting just the class 10/UHS-1 spec won't work for recording 4K on the Air. It'll work for 1080, but not 4K. The card must be U3 to record 4K. For example, Sandisk Ultra is class 10/UHS-1 but only a U1 card (no 4k recording). The Sandisk Extreme is U3 and will record 4k, as...

Might be worth going into the BIOS setup and make sure the ports are in the right mode - at least on my Dell Precision it's a hybrid port that can do USB-C and Thunderbolt, and I recall some BIOS configuration for it. If that looks good, check you have the latest firmware maybe?
