Look What I found today at my Costco visit

The Atom has been around for awhile and there are multiple positive video reviews online for it. There are multiple variants of the Atom though and they don't all have a 3-axis stabilized gimbal so that's one thing to watch out for. Many of the reviews I watched said it's a reasonable option...

small car dealer looking for a drone that can take video/picture walk arounds of vehicles for sale

@democar1 Where in Iowa are you located? If near Cedar Rapids I could demo a quadcopter as well as an Osmo Pocket and phone stabilized gimbal to help you decide what would work best for you. Some quadcopters have a "circle" mode but generally require a higher altitude and larger radius than...

The Air 3 compared to FIMI Pro.

I see that the Fimi X8 SE 2022 V2 is finally RemoteID certified by the FAA. Hopefully the X8 Pro is not far behind. -rod

The Air 3 compared to FIMI Pro.

With the TX10A I only get the Brake Stop or Off options. I haven't tried the standard controller with the phone app and I'm not sure I'm curious enough to go through the rebinding process to check it out, but that's interesting. I would suspect that there may be a firmware update at some point...

The Air 3 compared to FIMI Pro.

Welcome! You sound very much like me. I have a couple of Mavic Pros but decided to check out the Fimi X8 to see how close they come to my old Mavics. I was enticed by the apparent bang for the buck and fell for the advertising that they are RemoteID compliant. I first bought the X8 2022SE V2...

    DJI bionic Micro X ???

Considering how fuzzy the image title is and that the DJI logo on the "bug" doesn't appear to be at the same rotation/angle as the body, I'm pretty confident saying this is a fake. -Rod

Be Careful Putting metal objects (like small flood lights) on the TOP of your drone.

Metal objects can also interfere with the internal compass module as well. -Rod

    Mavic 2 remote battery drainage

I only have the original Mavic, but I suspect the 2 is like the original in that it automatically starts to self-discharge the batteries (both aircraft and remote) to a "Storage" charge state after some number of days of non-use. I think the default is 10 days if I recall correctly. Storing...

Mavic Pro Batteries on Sale at Target

I'm in eastern Iowa and they're $89.99 here. :( edit: I rechecked by going to Target's website directly (versus the Brick Seek link above) and they are in stock and $59 at my local Target.

    Core board thermal paste

You want it to be thermally conductive, but not electrically conductive. The stuff DJI uses looks just like the thermal interface material (TIM) we call "smurf blood" at work. I may have to look up the vendor part number. -Rod

Help Identifying a part on a control board.

I'm assuming you've performed the diode test in both directions and confirmed it's a short both ways, and compared it against the diodes in the same location on one of the working ESCs to confirm they test differently than they should. If you're unable to find the datasheet for that exact part...
