I live on a tropical island (Tenerife) and regularly fly in 35C + over the sea, with Phantom 1,2,3, and now a Mavic Pro. Never had a problem, SO FAR!

Manual or Auto focus is marked on the top right of the screen as AF/MF. A vertical slider appears (very dim) on the screen, just right of centre when manual focus is selected, difficult to see in bright sunlight. Ask me how I know? I shot an hour of out-of-focus vid, out at sea, by not checking...

I use PowerDirector 16 too. Easy to learn, but lots of extra features if you need them.

Whatever the rights or wrongs of the case, the majority ends up suffering for the actions of the idiot minority. I have lost the use of my local flying field and one further away where I have flown RC fixed wing models for nearly 15 years because of knee jerk reaction by Spanish ATC.
