How about this:
Don’t fly at night in a busy, metropolitan area. You’re asking for trouble. Avoid situations, that can, and will entice wrong behavior.
I was having issues with my phone recognizing the RC also. I found that my Otterbox case was to thick to allow the stock 90° cable to make a full connection. I went with this, and it works fine.
From what I can tell, I imported the photos, and videos from the drone to an album on the Google photo app on my android phone, while the aircraft was still connected. I'm using a Samsung phone, not sure how it works with iPhone. I believe IOS automatically creates an album too. Hope this helps.
I can't say for sure that you're having the same problem as I did yesterday, but I found that the USB-C cable that DJI includes isn't making complete contact with the phone port. I have a case on my S20+, and I had the same issue. Try it without the case if you have one on. Good luck.
I'm going to use the cable that came with the Samsung phone. The connector is long enough on both ends to work with the case on. It's a long cable, but it does the job.
OK, I found that, my Otterbox case on my Samsung S20+ was too thick to accommodate the stock DJI USB-C cable, and it wasn't making a connection. I removed the case, and it worked.
