I drove from Bodega Bay to Jenner yesterday looking for a spot. All coast in that area either State or County parks. no takeoff/landing areas.

Bodega bay is pretty much NFZ. There is a short stretch of coast north of Dillon beach to Bodega Bay that is OK. Its mostly inaccessible by road.

Seems I read somewhere that Pacifica is not drone friendly except the pier. Dont take my word for it, maybe a local drone pilot can chime in

In the United States its no problem. Your drone and attached battery can go in your checked bag. Extra batteries must go in your carry on. I always carry both my batteries in LiPo pouches in my carry on And sometimes the drone in my checked bag without batteries.

I nave the new LifThor made in Sweden. Its base is solid aluminum and clamps very securely to the controller. The actual pad holder is plastic but very sturdy. One thing to be aware if with any ipad holder, it makes the controller feel very out of balance.

As with any digital camera, have you tried reformatting the SD card? I reformat mine every so,often. Of course you will loose all the files on the card and it starts up with the same original file names, so creates duplicate fies with different content.
