PolarPro makes a UV filter -- no ND correction -- that can be left on all the time if you don't want to use ND.

I fly in high winds a lot, simply because of my location. Sport mode is the best way to get to where I want to film in a hurry -- then I switch over to something a little more "cinematic". Never seen this error.

Hand catch sounds initially good in theory, but -- if the dog jumped up and got the drone as it landed on the ground -- it could have decided to bite your hand or knock you into the props right at landing. Could have been worse.

I read it the same way you did.... The Forecast was good o 1500m, but he states he knows that is way further than what is legal. Wind comes in layers -- I think he was saying he should not have even had a rogue gust nearby.

You can get some really nice interior shots of your home -- real estate agents love it, as you no longer have to hire somebody with a dolly to roll a camera around. Or angles from above, without a ladder. Two story foyers, balcony spaces, etc. Transitions from one room to the next. Obviously...

I am with you, John. I was stuck on the NE coast of US during a huge winter storm but wanted to check out camera settings, etc. Indoors is necessary sometimes, and a great way to really compare what those camera settings are doing without being blown around at 400 feet!

Mine is more “perceptible” - so much that I have started hand launching off a porch that my mavic pro, platinum, and spark had no problems with. Only lasts 10 seconds or so but enough to cause damage if you are not in total control.

On the Polar Pro website they have a cool combo pack of all their Cinematic filters, plus a UV filter, landing gear, and lens pen. Great deal if you want all the filters.

This is good to know... Just insured my drones with them, and - naturally - they are asking about quoting our house. Don't want to end up losing our homeowner's over a drone accident.
