Is it just me or is it a right pile off pants.
Came with the fly more combo. Just tried using it on the boat while going along and it starts the charging cycle then stops and just switches the battery on. I've tried with the engine running and not running.
Grrrr I Wish I brought my 240v to charge on board away for the week.
When I get back to the marina I'll try itbin the car.

Same problem here. Had the Mavic a while but tried the 12v today and the battery light flashed like an error and the indicator light on the charger was red. Does anyone's work? Any modifications needed?

Supposedly it needs a minimum of 13v to turn on. So if your battery is at say 12.6v it wont work. I have read reports that you must have the engine running with the alternator providing a nice 14+v for the car charger to actually work.

I don't suppose you have a multi metre on the boat? Would be interesting to see what your 12v socket is pumping out. If it is a regulated 12v supply then the car charger will not work.

See this thread for more info on this topic.
