I notice the Air 2S has a 22mm (full frame equiv) focal length whereas the Mavic Air 2, Mini 2 Pro and Mavic 3 are all 24mm.

What are the differences between these focal lengths. What are the strengths and weaknesses of one vs the other? To what extent is the difference significant?

And should this be an important factor for photographers deciding between drones?

There are no strengths or weaknesses related to the focal length of a lens.
Both are wideangle lenses with the 22mm equiv being slightly wider.

22mm lens has a horizontal angle of view of 78.6°
24mm lens has a horizontal angle of view of 73.7°

No ... it's only a slight difference ... you'd probably not even notice it.

As Meta4 says, it's only a slight difference...

Of course, in most cases the fringes of the photo are not all that important, unless you catch a glimpse of Big Foot...

As luck would have it, I did this morning, see attached image for proof
