400' AGL over natural feature/"structure"

It is ...except to those who want to troll.
It's interesting that nobody can cough up a paste of said excruciatingly clear answer.

The matter remains unclear.

The trolling claim is outrageous. Simmer down.

Isn't it time to shut this thread down?
I would think not. Why? Perhaps an answer is at hand. How would shutting it down be of service to anyone, both near term and to those who may search for this topic years later?

A definitive answer does not seem to have yet come to pass.

And, what of that bridge thing?

FAA seems to differentiate between man made structures and natural. You may try applying for a waiver, since rock formations are not considered a man made structure in discussions I have been a part of. I have not submitted a waiver application yet but at some near point will have to for the areas I want to shoot in. Anyone done this yet? Please share if so...

Dang! Not sure if I'd bother with that given what I've read about waivers, but that notion never occurred to me. How astute and productive of you and how obliviously dense of me!

Thanks for your contribution. I'm working on getting the info straight from Mr. Ed's mouth and will post the results.

Well....I'll do that if the thread ain't been inexplicably closed, that is ;)
