I am watching as many reviews as I can and so far, I really like what I see. Glad to see it being sold at BBY.
Still would like to see what DJI has to offer but it's going to be hard to beat when you come in over 249g, you are still using a bunch of old equipment (goggles/controller) and it's based on Avata platform. Something tells me DJI can't wait and they are forced to launch now but they're going to have a lot of catching up to do.

Best Buy has a 15% restocking fee on all returned drones, unless you claim a defect upon return. However, because of Holiday Extended Returns, you are not limited to the default of 14 days. It's "returnable" until January 15th.
Also available at B&H with no restocking fee.
I'll probably end up getting it from B&H with no sales tax but it depends on what kind of promo BBY has later on. Their price tends to drop faster than the other retailers but I balked at the 15% restocking fee when I first saw it as well.
The BB workaround exception to the 15% restocking fee on drone returns is claiming any unverifiable defect, like poor range or not getting the advertised flight time. They won't question it.
I've seen little about how it is controlled. By where you look? I see trailers with people holding there arm out. I can't do that. Thus I wait to understand better how the drone is controlled.

The goggles look great, although reported to be uncomfortable after a few flights. External battery doesnt really worry me.
Range and signal strength looks sketchy on some reviews and fantastic on others so prob need to wait until some "real" users report their findings
I think an advantage it will have in the 360 space, is that insta software seems pretty good and intuitive for editing the 360 videos and pics.
I do like that you can replay a flight in the goggles and look around as if it was happening live. This is cool.

It can only be controlled by their version of the Motion Controller.

The only advantage is seems to offer over the Avata360 is sub 250g for no RID and no FCC registration required with the standard sub 250g battery, but without a spotter, flying with goggles means no VLOS, so you are already in violation of hobbyist exception, and so need a 107, and must therefore register and have RID broadcasting anyway! LOL!
Might as well get the extended batteries pushing it over 250g and get 50% more flight time, but then the Avata360 is undoubtedly the better choice, as I'm sure it will have an RC option instead of only a motion controller.
Yeah rumor says there is an RC coming but I still don't think there is a manual mode so I guess RC is more useful for those who can't get accustomed to the MC. We obviously don't know this for sure but if it's anything like the DJI, the RC will lose a few cool features that you can only get with the MC.....like "head-tracking" on the DJI it makes sense there are some things "the sticks" can't do well, not sure what it is but apparently, RC coming this summer. You have to wonder if it's even compatible with the goggles:
Since I have only read that it transmits RID, I suspect, like the Mini 5 Pro, that it will broadcast RID regardless of which battery it is flown with, so no real advantage to being under 250g with the standard battery, other than no pilot registration.

Range can make it or break it for a drone that is marketed to newbies who will get easily distracted during the flight and not realize how far they've gone. Hope the RTH upon signal loss is good.

I hate to say it but it's just a personal prediction on my end, nothing more. I don't think DJI is going to beat the Dec 23 deadline with the Avata 360 drone. Either they are not yet ready or more importantly, I believe they *can't* launch what they have after fully seeing the AGA1. See you in 2026..... 
One thing I do not like is how it distorts the Horizon into a football shape !
I still feel its gimmicky but a tool for certain shots rather than stand alone
It introduces all the distortions that I’ve spent many £’s on lenses to remove. A few choice shots only and video like you’ve been hallucinating. Not for me.
