Insta360 Antigravity

Actually, they are fierce competitors, and couldn’t agree to work together. Insta360 approached DJI about incorporating their cameras onto a DJI drone about 6 months to a year ago, and DJI's response was, "Hell, no!"

So Insta360 sought out another drone partnership, and is now working with AntiGravity, but is at risk of being upstaged by whatever DJI has planned for their own 360 camera drone before AntiGravity can be released in January of 2026. They tipped their hand way too early!
Either way when I look at the insta360 body it looks the same as a mini 4, so in some way or another they have a partnership or they copied it

The certainly do not have a partnership, so they ripped off the design, and I am sure DJI's 360 drone will "borrow" from the best design of Insta360, and just call it even. May the best 360 drone win, or the first to market!

Except this competitor is also a Chinese company.
And as such, will face extra scrutiny. Unlike DJI, they have not been specifically named by US law and have not faced any new model bans by the FCC. That all could change, but the US market at the moment is more open to an Insta360 drone than it would be for an equivalent model from DJI.

DJI's new Osmo 360 camera with a 1” sensor will likely kill Insta360 X5 sales.
The prerelease video of the comparison, sponsored by DJI, is intriguing!

unfortunately, not competition for the insta. Overheats drastically and shuts down if you want to use it for more than 10 mins. had it sitting on a table with plenty of ventilation on a coolish evening and it just couldnt run for an extended time.

I am confident DJI can solve those issues, even if by no other means than just reverse engineering the Insta360 version. Version 2 for the win. So far, we have no idea how the final version of the AntiGravity drone will fly, compared to a Mini 4 Pro, either.

Unless Insta360 does something really stupid, like GoPro Karma stupid, the flying part of the drone should be fine.

It gets back to if DJI can't get a new drone certified by the FCC, the AntiGravity drone will have no competition.

I wasn't referring to the U.S.. I meant globally, which is where both of them will still continue to compete without artificial U.S. governmental limitations and unfounded paranoia.

Taking the US out of play is a limiting factor for DJI. Last year, US sales were 34% of DJI's revenue. The loss of that market won't be fatal to DJI, but it will affect them. And allows new players to step in.
