Can some please explain the video downloading sequence that occurs between the Mavic Air and the cell phone/iPad. How and when does it occur, etc. .... its a big mystery to me now how it works. Thanks!

I don't believe it is done automatically. I believe you have to click the "download" icon. Any video that see on your phone that you haven't downloaded, is simply streaming between your drone and your phone.

I don't think you have to click "download" because there are times I have not deliberatly downloaded and after a while the videos just show up on my cell. Sometimes they appear within a few minutes of taking the videos and at other times it may take a few hour or the next day. Baffling to me ...
