We are in the doldrums of our South Florida summer with high heat and humidity. We really cannot leave the house unless it is to a car with air conditioning. So I was going through some old images and worked on these. Both were shot in Zambia in September 2019.
Leopard on a tree limb, and a Little Bee Eater. Click the image to enlarge.

Nice one Dale. I'm curious, seeing as you enjoy photography, did you by any chance shoot the Aurora Borealis on May10/11th 2024? I heard they came around your neck of the woods.

Thanks.

Regrettably, we did not have the Aurora Borealis in Miami.

The focus of the Bee Eater is a great touch......very nice.
How close to the leopard were you? That's a cool picture, and a lazy leopard.

Thank you.
The bee eater was captured with the Nikkor 600mm, f/4.0 prime lens, and shot from the safari vehicle resting the big lens on a bean bag. I rented this lens, for about $100 a week, since it costs over $10,000 USD. (www.lensprotogo.com)

I was in a safari vehicle parked underneath the tree limb. I'd estimate the leopard was about 20-30 feet above me.
