Kahalu'l Beach Park is just a few km south of Kona on the Big Island of Hawaii. A great snorkel spot.

Dude i was just THERE! Flew to Kona to investigate a fire (for two days) and had a late flight out so went to the beach there, did see people snorkeling but did not have room to pack mask and fins. Very cool and chill island, love to go back for fun someday.

That park area and beach are very nicely maintained.

Great video. The surfer @ 3:00 had me chuckling. Caught the wave, he looked like he was prepared to go somewhere fast only to have the wave fizzle.

Thanks very much, Prop Wash. In that area of the bay, the surfing schools run their classes. I suspect he was a newbie.

Nice to see it's still beautiful since I was there in the '60s. Protections seem to be working, unlike here in Florida where concrete is king.
