Good to activate Find my Drone feature, because if you go beyond line of sight,
and the little guy goes down. This feature will help you find it, but it does has limitations. Practice, practice, and more practice, in open fields, no wind, maintain your equipment, battery care, flying legally. Fly safe.

Many South Bay and Peninsula locals have flown from Baylands Park in Sunnyvale, where the drone meetup groups fly, but I’d recommend driving off to somewhere not in Controlled Airspace with LAANC authorization higher than 0 feet.

Head up to Treasure Island for the awesome views. Cross the Dumbarton Bridge to Fremont to fly with views of the South Bay. Fly around San Francisco and Oakland. Head east to the Altamont Pass and their huge wind turbines. Fly the coast, but don’t launch/land from East Bay Regional Parks. Just fly from the east side of Route 1.
