Adding a light to the Mini

and

Just only white is the way to go for VLOS needs?

Yes and I have the white one with a mount on the bottom of the Mavic Mini.

I ordered it in white, maybe I'll get the Red/White or Tri Color down the road.

I have the public safety series ARC II red / white, it’s not bad.
The white is so much more obviously brighter than red, so an all white one is the way to go for VLOS.

I have cleared photos from my phone recently, but posted comparos of these before, I’ll find a post and come back to edit here with link.

You’ll find that great for most flights as almost all will be above you and give very good visibility.

I ordered 1 white and 1 red Strobon Cree from Flying Tech here in the UK at the weekend and received them yesterday (the white is really bright). I was going to attach them using 3m Reclosable Fastener (Velcro)
but have since ordered 2 rear strobe mounts from Aerial Pixel (USA) for my mini.
As a newish flyer I shall feel more comfortable with these fitted so I can keep the drone in sight.

The mounts arrived today and were fitted to the Mavic Mini with the lights - very pleased with all the fittings.

I bought it (Aliexpress), but I'm still reluctant to cover one of the ventilation areas, as far as weight is concerned (because I fly short and at low altitude, outside restricted areas and here is FCC).
