Advice for the smallest bag/case that's just large enough to carry the Mini, the remote, 2 batteries, and your phone

The case that comes with the Combo package is pretty large, since it has room for the charger and other options. I'm looking for the smallest bag possible.

I have mavic pro / mavic spark and now the mavic mini, pending what Zi feel like flying, I will load my preference in this for the day, im not a big fan from carrying from handle plus I get my extra added gadgets for different conditions in the sac

I’m thinking of a smaller version of the Mavic Combo case where everything is stored vertically in a soft-sided case. It would be much smaller than the Mini Combo case.

I’m thinking just a small camera bag with some dividers should work.

I have tried the soft DJI bag that you can get for the Mavic Pro. The r/c and a/c fit in tightly but you need something soft between them.
Like you my first thought was the case is just too big. But then I realised you can put other stuff in the case. There is plenty of room for a charger for example.

Not exactly what you are looking for, but for an ultra-compact solution I repurposed an old Spark case for RC + Mini:

I have not found an ultra-compact case yet, but for now I am using this old Aliexpress Spark case (17x17x6,5 cm). I just cut out the moulded inlay, and the Mini + RC with sticks now fit snugly! :) Mavic Mini: 140 × 82 × 57 RC: 145 x 77 x 35 (ca. 245g) DJI Combo Case: 270x195x85 PgyTech...

I like the fact that I can even leave the RC sticks on! I just put a nylon sleeve on the Mini when I put it in so the RC does not damage it.
I just take the battery hub + adapter in a separate DJI RC soft bag. The Mini, RC and Hub/Adapter each fit in such a RC soft bag.

Well I have gone from hating the MM combo case to loving it. Carrying an expensive 10.50-inch Samsung Tab 6 in a scooter has been a worry for me. I can fit the tablet in the case! How cool is that?
It is a close fit but it works. Darn, those DJI people are smart. The case is not light but everything I need is packed neatly in to it.

How about the adapter to hold the tablet to the remote?

I did the same with my tablet for the case I bought for my Tello. That puts some pressure on the prop guards.

It seems whatever streamlined case we get, there's a bunch of extras we carry.

Not tried the adapter DanMan, I hope to pick it up tomorrow. I doubt I will find one here in Patong though that works. So I am going to take the case contents to make sure. Similarly the tablet is under some pressure from the fittings in the on top of case. But not too much pressure I hope.

AliExpress has some smaller cases. May take a little while to get depending on where you are. I haven’t ordered one yet but thinking about it.

This is what I was looking for.....something like the Mavic Combo bag, but much smaller. Even smaller than the Mini Combo case, and holds the Mini, the RC, my phone, and 2 extra batteries in the side pockets.

This one is also good..... everything is stacked on top of one another with pads in between. Still much smaller than the Mini Combo case.
