Where are you intending to fly ? Indoors or outdoors and what is you joystick control like ?
I have guards for every model and I have probably used them less than 6 time in 4000 + flights.
Yes they might be a good idea if you are flying near people but is that permitted with the air 2.?

I bought PGYTECH propguards for my Mavic 2's and Mini 3 Pro... specifically for hazard mitigation when I need to approach a built structure for close details shots (permissioned).

The one set earned its keep the very first time I chose to fit them, so definitely a worthwhile investment.

I didn't notice any appreciable change in flight characteristics, but for architectural detail shoots I always fly slow, careful and 100% close quarters.

If you are not flying near people and are not doing commercial work involving people. I would leave them off.

Hello. Firstly sorry for long time with no response.
Mainly I fly outdoors, in open areas but there is a forest in my neighbourhood and I'd like to try fly in this kind of area. If I get a chance to fly in spacious indoor, I'll take it. I don't expect it to become my routine though :)
If you are asking about my controller model it is RC231, its other name is RC N1.

I avoid this situations for now but your question make me refresh my knowledge I got during my course.

Would you like to show what the prop guards look like ??

Thank you for the answer. I'll consider a purchase.

I was thinking more along the lines of how delicately you can control the drone.
To my mind, in relation to delicacy of control, the EXP setting has a lot to do with how predictable the drone's response to a given stick movement will be.
I ALWAYS set the EXP settings to 0.5 which produces a straight line graph.
With other values 'curves' are introduced into the graph meaning that the drone's response to a given change in stick position changes depending on where the stick is relative to the neutral point and in soe cases this means the drone can go from 'no response' to full speed over avery limited range of stick movement.
The linear graph gives, in my opinion, better predictability in the drone's response and indoors I can my drones 'creep' in terms of their speed even in sports mode .
If, on the other hand, you basically have two stick positions, neutral and full travel, then you 'delicacy of control is going to be limited.
Outdoors and ignoring "close to people " my main concern with prop guards is the added 'sail area' and how greatly any wind will 'grab' that sail area.
I wouldn't rely on prop guards for protection from trees, twigs etc. will likely pass through the prop guards quite easily.
