Air 3S The Good and the BAD

Got mine in USA after delay in customs
1st Time out
The GOOD [Camera] Much better
The BAD [Battery & Switching]
NEO to Air 3S [could not get out of the NEO screen for ever! on the Controller] Took about 5min
Was set up for Air 3S then I set it up for the NEO thinking the switching back and forth would be fast and easy...
Battery [turning it off made a funny sound and LED Flashed [not normal] then later find out it did NOT turn OFF!

Not real happy with that.
Anyone else have this happen?

Version 1.0.0. of any new drone always comes with lots of bugs and some manufacturing defects. Hard to separate one from the other. Bugs can be fixed with a future firmware update. Manufacturing defects cannot. Since you are really the true Beta tester, and many of the other true Beta testers' drones are still in a Customs hold, the population of current owners who can corroborate your issues with their units is still very limited. Good luck and patience help, but you are pretty much on your own right now, except for a few "lucky" others!

Definitely make sure you have the latest firmware installed. When I first got mine it was a little buggy but since a firmware update has been working fantastic for about 40 flights now.

Likewise got my UK flyer ID a little earlier so need to wait for operator ID stickers to arrive. Otherwise batteries charged, firmware update and gain / expo settings adjusted

I have the Neo and Air 3S setup on the same RC2 controller and it's been rather painless other than a prompt asking me about changing/updating firmware. Seems like a bug as it has no bearing when switching between drones.

I do the same. Think the prompt is changing firmware in the RC2 itself so it is configured properly for the current drone you are flying.
