So this app is not up to date since we do not have to register for recreational anymore. Whats that other rule. Up to 400ft not allowed. Im confused?

Where are you flying? It says this -
Federal Aviation Administration, DOT
§ 99.7 Special security instructions.
Each person operating an aircraft in an ADIZ or Defense Area must, in addi- tion to the applicable rules of this part, comply with special security instruc- tions issued by the Administrator in the interest of national security, pur- suant to agreement between the FAA and the Department of Defense, or be- tween the FAA and a U.S. Federal se- curity or intelligence agency.

Holden Massachusetts USA. Theres no military establishment's in this town or within a 5 mile radius of my house that i kmow of or can find

I know i only have 1 airport near me. Its private and no concern and i will be calling them. The b4ufly aop didnt even give that type of thing lol but i hesr that app sucks

I get frustrated by many of the B4Ufly-type apps. I think they mean well, but may be too aggressive in identifying potential hazards. For instance, one of the areas identified by Airmap in your area is an AMA R/C flying field. While it's good to be aware of this if you are flying right next to that area, it is doubtful that flying VLOS from your location will cause an intersection with that area. Is there a way to configure Airmap's settings to just alert you to area public GA airports? Sometimes, too much data can obfuscate the really important information.

We all use different tools, and the fact that we are USING them is laudable! My personal preference is to use a VFR sectional (available for free at www.skyvector.com) to identify airports/airspace and the FAA's Chart Supplement Search to look up the airport's hours of operation, contact info and the orientation of the runways. Additionally, if flying a Part 107 operation, I consult the FAA UAS Data map to see if I will need to apply for an altitude waiver.

YMMV, of course!
