well it's been driving me nuts...hours of searching but finding no info on the subject .. someone needs to do it..so I'll post up my results if i have any success..butt testing begins immediately....I'm pretty sure I'm connected to the birdside video tx antenna...? I've tested a lightbridge air side antenna just now,

but it totally sucked.. now I'm going to test out one of these DJI ground station antennas (di-pole)that I picked up for a couple bucks...im totally open for suggestions .. later on im Going to order a few pcb stock style ant. From eBay to test and probably build a few whike im waiting on delivery.

I'm curious to see this. I would love to get a more reliable video feed. It seems to be the weak point with the Mavic.

well i tried a few antennas i have laying around.. al were major failures then i noticed a crappy signal when i went back to stock..so i tested the new antenna cable with multi meter and sure enough.kaka...so planing on doing it again after work... one thing i noticed is the mavic remote antennas are pretty much identical too the p3p antennas that are in the 4 legs..

We tried that over and over with the Bebop(s).
Forget it.
The PCB ANtennae are just fine.
You can OF COURSE add better Antennae and get better range in sopecial situations but you will always have directional or "flatter donut" types of effects which is absolutely horrible for the flying part of the chain :)

The 2 Things to play around are:
-1- overall power (e.g. a FCC hack/mod in CE countries or a GOOD Amplifier (nad amplifiers ruin all because of the noise and the high sensitiovity of the DJI Rx/Tx chipsets))
If there is a FCC / CE mod that gets public maybe the power can even be increased over FCC limits but we probably never will know. unless POV opens up again.

-2- Directional Antennae on the Remote. This is done in several ways by now and everyone can buy 6 do it, so no news here.
I'd prefer the FPVLR solution for its elegance.

Greetings,

Ender
