Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong here. I attempted to update firmware through the GoFly app and it got stuck at about 52%. I then tried to connect the MA2 directly to my Mac through DJI Assistant and it got stuck at 40%. In both instances they were stopped for about 20 minutes with no progress. I was able to successfully update the RC via DJI Assistant. I powered down the drone as the app suggested before retrying and again got stuck. All the red lights are on and based off what I saw in the manual, looks like this means critical error? Is this fixable by me or is this something I need to send back to DJI? I'm really hoping for the latter..

it looks like you will have to basically start the whole process again
first off you need to make sure that you have fully charged batteries on the RC AC and device
check that you have a good WIFI connection, and try to do the update during a quiet part of the late evening ,when the internet is not so busy
delete the app and reinstall it before you begin
then go through the startup process as if you were going to fly
make sure that you have the cable connected between your device and RC start the RC and wait for it to show RC connected
dont forget to remove props and gimbal cover ,and then start the AC and wait for it to link to the RC
you should see a message telling you new firmware available update now press that on screen and just leave everything alone
as it updates it will flash different colours as it goes through the process and the drone will turn of and on several times
at some point the battery lights will flash randomly as the battery updates and then the lights on the controller will flash as it is updated
at the end of the process it will say update successful restart the drone ,its important to do this while its all connected so leave the RC and device on
when you have restarted it then the new update is stored in the drones memory each battery will need updating as well if you have the combo

Thank you for this information but after talking with tech support and going through the steps you outlined, it looks like I may just have a bad apple unfortunately. DJI suggested sending it back so it'll be a while longer before I finally get it in the air..? I'm bummed..
