Amateur required to register with FAA?

Hi! I am SO new, but just love flying my Mavic Pro. We own a large farm in a rural area and I only fly over our farm land. Is it required that I register my drone with the FAA? I have read some places that you don’t have to???? Thanks for your input!

If you're not flying high, then probably nobody would care, but legally you do need to register. It's only $5 for 3 years.

Be sure and go to the official FAA web site to register. There are several 3rd party sites that will charge you $25 or more to register, don’t go there. It’s only $5 on the official site.

Thanks! Right now I am just getting acquainted with my Mavic and stay close to home. My biggest problem seems to be large flocks of burds
