Don't forget to line up the tilt indicator (in the "radar" screen) until they are level to easily see which direction the wind is blowing.Too obvious but I hadn't thought to do that, great tip @Porto
Actually, looking at the tilt in the radar view and the Mavic forward speed is usually enough to roughly know where the wind is blowing and how strong is the headwind (but not able to tell tailwind). If you are having tailwind in your outbound flight, turn around to see how strong is the headwind for your return flight, and decide how far away you can safely fly in that condition.
