Anyone in SW Michigan?

Not sure if I'm putting this in the right place, but later this summer we're renting a house on the lake just north of New Buffalo, Mi. The house we're renting and the beach are considered private property, so I'm assuming it's OK to fly immediately over the house/beach. However, are there any other local rules or issues encountered by others I should know about in advance?

I'm in Grand Rapids and as long as you aren't within an air restricted space, you should be good. You'll be far enough away from any major airports so you should be all set. Enjoy!
