I ordered one for $4 inc post from Amazon - hasn't arrived yet.

They were really great on the Phantom 3S and to a lesser extent on the Phantom 4.

Mixed reviews on it working on the Mavic, some positive some saying it reduces power - but for $4 Ill give it a go.

I really didn't need range extension as the mavic battery is the limiting factor for me when it comes to distance. What I was looking for was to boost the signal in bad reception areas. I got one from RCstyle on Amazon (not this one, but one similar). I flew the mavic about a quarter mile to an area where I regularly loose signal (just starting to go behind a mountain) and hovered with just two bars on the controller and the HD. I then put the range extenders on and the signals dropped to one bar and then lost signal altogether (I did have them pointed at the bird). Took them off and regained connection. Just my experience and like I said they are not the same ones as your post but mine are no longer in my travelling inventory.
