Anyone using Note 20 ultra ?

It better have a ultra bright screen for the price ;)
Remember the Ekynos chipsets (Global model) and non 16:9 screen aspect ratios don't play well with DJI Fly some of the time

I have used the new Note 20 Ultra and it works very well - the screen is very bright and I had several successful flights using it. Unfortunately I had an issue that required I send the phone back to Samsung for Replacement or Repair (unrelated to flying the drone) but I am looking forward to getting it back so I can use it the next time I go out. While it is an expensive phone, the screen is absolutely beautiful!

Well.... you can be surprise what cost a CrystalSky. Just get a good case and will fit in the MA2 no problem.

I quit carrying a wallet so I buy cases that have a pouch for 3 cards on the back. Sadly almost every mount out there doesn't work well with "thick" cases. But that's going way off topic.

The only reason I posted was to say I bet the Note 20 will work fine since it's basically an S20 with a pen.

Thanks. Going to pick one up today.

My S20 Ultra (with case) fits the controller, but at an angle. I take the case off because the controller holds the phone steadfast.
Yes, it was $1200, yes it has a beautiful screen, no, I don't think taking it in and out of the case is a hassle.

I do, however, worry about the extenders on the clamp mount. How many pulls is too many?

Mine fits perfectly with the case on.

I gave up trying to take my Ringke case off my S8+ when I wanted to use it with my Mavic 2 Pro. I have the Note 20 Ultra on order so I bought the Pytech Pad Holder and I can just leave the phone in the case. I have a Samsung Active 2, which is a bright, 4G enabled tablet and it works well in the Pytech. It looks awkward, but was pretty well balanced in my hands.

That is great. Thanks for sharing. Can you post a picture with the new Galaxy Note 20 once you got it? If is possible in the sun.

I don't know the 1500 cd/m² (aka nits) spec is coming from. It's closer to half of that. I saw a review where the Note 20 Ultra was tested at 860 cd/m², which is still very good. To compare that with other phones, the iPhone 11 Pro Max came in it 790 cd/m² and the Note 10+ was 683. This is brightness measured at the middle of the screen using an X-Rite i1Pro spectrophotometer. The Tab Active2 8" that I'm using is very bright and tested at roughly 500 cd/m².

Anyone knows cheap smartphone model which has bright screen? note 20 ultra is way too expensive.
planning to but cheap one just for MA2 only, not for daily use.

You can toss out the 1609 cd/m² number, which was peak under special screen conditions, with only 1% of the screen was lit up. A better number to use from that review was 1240 cd/m² for the average screen content measurement. This is closer to what you have on your screen in real life. And is still a very high number. This is not a slam against the Note 20 Ultra, I ordered mine on Saturday.

DisplayMate doesn't say how they measured the brightness. Without knowing how they measured the screen brightness, you have no way of knowing how accurate the measurements are. It's more useful on that site to compare their measurements against other devices that they have measured than to go by the actual numbers. For example, the brightness score for the iPhone 11 Pro Max was measured by DisplayMate at 821cd/m².

I'm not saying their numbers are wrong, I'm just saying that I have no way of telling that they are correct. The reviews I quoted for the lower numbers had used a fairly standard spectrophotometer to get their results.

Let us know about your your experience with the s20 ultra when you get it, please.
Anything on the note 20?
I'm not getting the S20 Ultra, I ordered a Note 20 Ultra 512GB. Verizon offered a $500 trade-in on my S8+, that took a third off the price.
