...I think. can't get the **** thing in all the way, and it feels like a cross-thread, having extensive hands-on experience with the problem over 62 years.

So what now? I do have CR. Back to DJI? It's wrapped! I'll lose the skin, right?

I'm more upset at spending 4 hours wrapping it again than having to repurchase the skin.

Try pulling the mentioned screw out and inspect. Should be visible if it’s crossed.
Pictures? Can’t really see from the first pic.
And what nibbled on the prop?

Yeah, checked the screw carefully, and it looks fine. But I believe it's steel, and the bell is aluminum (aluminium for you brits 😁), so worried the receiving threads are crossed, but can't see it on the screw.

Gonna try a little isopropyl hoping it's just accumulated threadlock crud. If I can't get it to work I guess it's back to DJI.

Anyone know if it's possible to request repair and return of same drone?

Hooray!!!!! Alcohol did the trick!

On very magnified inspection, there was a lot of crud in the screw threads, some of it clearly dislodged locktite. A little alc in the receiving threads and on the screw, carefully work it all the way in, back it out, in and out again, without the prop blade so you can see if it's getting all the way to screwhead-on-bell-stem.

Once good, put the blade on, screw down and tighten.

Dry blue thread lock (which they're using) is soluble in isopropyl alcohol. It seems to me liquifying it and then letting it dry again after the screw is tightened is more secure anyway, that's how you normally use blue thread lock.

Great news!

Very doubtful. I’ve never seen in writing of that occurrence.
I’ve been rong several times.
Just gone though a long on-line chat with DJI about fixing my Mini 4 Pro after a minor prang. The options are
1. Return for estimate and repair if I accept. Nothing to do with care refresh , just pay for the repair.
2. Return for care refresh replacement. My drone just goes into a queue to be fixed and another is sent straight out to me. If the estimate in 1 above is too much I can convert to this. (Assuming you have Care Refresh already!) Cost for Mini 4 Pro is about £62 I believe - can’t see a repair being this cheap….
3. Like 2 above but they send a replacement immediately and don’t wait for mine to get back to DJI. They make a holding charge against my credit card in case my drone doesn’t make it back to them. (This is a bit like an auto fuel pump making sure your card is good for £99 BEFORE you start drawing fuel.) Couldn’t find out the actual amount but it says somewhere it’s equivalent to the price of your drone.
It seems the repair pile has no way of matching up with the replacement drone if you’re in the Care Refresh system. Bit sad as I’d come to love my little guy😪

@DISC thanks for being the guinea pig! Not good, if you have some customization like the skin on mine.

I love that skin, and DO NOT like the idea of having to buy it again and spend 4 hours re-applying.

Fortunately, some 90% isopropyl alcohol did the trick.
