...I think. can't get the **** thing in all the way, and it feels like a cross-thread, having extensive hands-on experience with the problem over 62 years.

So what now? I do have CR. Back to DJI? It's wrapped! I'll lose the skin, right?

I'm more upset at spending 4 hours wrapping it again than having to repurchase the skin.

Try pulling the mentioned screw out and inspect. Should be visible if it’s crossed.
Pictures? Can’t really see from the first pic.
And what nibbled on the prop?

Yeah, checked the screw carefully, and it looks fine. But I believe it's steel, and the bell is aluminum (aluminium for you brits 😁), so worried the receiving threads are crossed, but can't see it on the screw.

Gonna try a little isopropyl hoping it's just accumulated threadlock crud. If I can't get it to work I guess it's back to DJI.

Anyone know if it's possible to request repair and return of same drone?

Hooray!!!!! Alcohol did the trick!

On very magnified inspection, there was a lot of crud in the screw threads, some of it clearly dislodged locktite. A little alc in the receiving threads and on the screw, carefully work it all the way in, back it out, in and out again, without the prop blade so you can see if it's getting all the way to screwhead-on-bell-stem.

Once good, put the blade on, screw down and tighten.

Dry blue thread lock (which they're using) is soluble in isopropyl alcohol. It seems to me liquifying it and then letting it dry again after the screw is tightened is more secure anyway, that's how you normally use blue thread lock.

Great news!
