Assistance during flight

Can I be the PIC of a flight and allow someone who isn't a licensed pilot to man the controls and operate the drone while I supervise other factors of the flight?

A remote pilot may supervise a non-RPIC to fly the drone while they stand next to them. They are called "person manipulating the controls".

The RPIC may not do any other duties except supervise that person on the sticks.

If you’re in the USA then yes. The FAA allows for it so long as you are close enough to take over

in the UK the person you were supervising would need to have their own flyer ID
