With an iPad or iPhone, you can't really tell fine detailed focus with any DjI product since the software doesn't "respect" the retina resolution. Thus all the images are slightly blurred, especially if you attempt to zoom (two fingers) on the screen.
With the Crystalsky, the image on the monitor is considerably sharper, so it's possible on a Android device the image may be sharper.
I use AF to hit subject, as AF on the DJI products, P4 or Mavic, is very good and pretty reliable. Once I have focus confirmation, (green box and tone) then I move to MF for the rest of the flight. The DOF of the lenses on both Pro and Zoom has a nice hyperlocal range so once in focus you should have anything from about 4 feet out in focus.
