I made the purchase of a Drone only option because it seemed like a good way to expand my devices used with the neo. the N3 and MC3. But then I remember something about there being a difference in the frequency band or something different about range requirements between the U.S. and Canada. I guess my question is it doesn't matter what country you purchase your DJI drone from as far as effective range does it. I would think it would be picked up by the country you're in when you're setting up the software for flight. Is that right or is it the same in both countries?

I believe the modern DJI drones will switch up accordingly. However, I believe if you buy a drone in another country, you'll need to have the warranty and/or DJI care refresh from that country as well....but not such how US/Canada works.

I just bought the Avata 2 from DJI and it came straightaway, no issues except the combo arrived in 4 different packages so DJI shipping is certainly getting creative.

Thank you for that. I opted out of the refresh thinking I'd do it later so I contacted them and added to my order.

The drone knows where it is via GPS, shares this with the goggles, and power is set as locally regulated.
