I charged the 3 batteries (1 small, 2 extra large) and went out. I put in the extra large and started at 84%.

Is this much loss normal? This seems crazy to me.

If I fully charge the batteries, and don't use for a week, and then I plug the charger in, it starts up again at the third light.

🤷‍♂️

Maybe charge it again and see the results.

One of the worst things you can do to your batteries is charge them up to 100% and not use them, that is why DJI has the auto-discharge failsafes in place. It's also much better if you discharge them yourself if you aren't going to use them rather than rely on the failsafe, or better yet, only charge the batteries you intend to use imminently (though not always convenient).

It shouldn't auto-discharge to 84% in one day though (although that is good for your battery health). As someone mentioned above I would charge the battery again, confirming that it actually hits 100%, and see what happens.
