Yeah but that still does not help with more time in the air. Even flying with one by the time I get to want to photo or video something I have to come back n still change the battery.Might be cheaper and safer to just buy a battery ?
How long are you getting?Yeah but that still does not help with more time in the air. Even flying with one by the time I get to want to photo or video something I have to come back n still change the battery.
Not enough lol. Fine where I fly let’s say I get out to sometimes 2500 to 3000 meters before have to start heading back because of the batteryHow long are you getting?
And I have searched with out much luck most the time it all comes back to the mini 1 and also other stuff I have found has no detailsDo a search and you will find some. Good luck.?
Yeah sometimes I run my mini1 battery in it but that gives a short flight timeDoesn’t the Mini 1 batterys fit the 2 ?![]()
I think I see where this is going but if I am thinking right the mini 2 changed things up a bit with the motors and props. I thought they added the lipo hv for more power and also better flight times. Thinking going to lion would add more weight witch then would reduce the power giving not much more of any better flight times when it was designed to be run with lipo hvYeah sometimes I run my mini1 battery in it but that gives a short flight time
Yeah I have not thought about that one. I will give that one I try tomorrow. Hope they give me the time of day. Unlike some company’sReach out to UAVmods to see if they have done anything for the MM2.

Bottom line, you'll need a bigger aircraft with more payload capacity, if you want more flight time. Battery mods on other heavier DJI aircraft can deliver up to 40 minutes with external batteries. Expecting that from a $450 drone designed to only weigh 240g is unrealistic.Has anyone had any luck modding the mini 2 battery? And if so please explain what all is involved and how hard this mite be. I have thought about it since getting mine since I only have one battery for it.
Well then I guess the battery mods on the mini 1 are made up story’s and fake videos that are getting 40+ mins from battery mods. You should still be able to piggyback a smaller lipo hv or run two small ones together for an extra 1000Mah my micro battery’s were only about 20grams eachBottom line, you'll need a bigger aircraft with more payload capacity, if you want more flight time. Still not clear why you want to add external batteries, instead of simply buying more stock Mini 2 batteries. 31 minutes isn't enough for you? The point of the Mini 2 is its 240g stock weight to remain registration free. Any modification adding external batteries defeats that primary benefit. Plenty of other heavier options already readily available if you need more flight time. Get a modded Mini 1, or mod an MA2, both of which require registration.Well then I guess the battery mods on the mini 1 are made up story’s and fake videos that are getting 40+ mins from battery mods. Ok if I got a modded mini 1 would have to deal with faa. Same as anything else. So why not take a better drone then the mini 1 and mod is for longer flight time. And am not talking let’s throw a big *** battery on it. I am interested in maybe seen what extra time would be maybe even a 600mah to 1000mah battery like the fpv micro racers n freestyle quads use there are very light weightStill not clear why you want to add external batteries, instead of simply buying more stock Mini 2 batteries. 31 minutes isn't enough for you?
