Hi Everyone,

A strong gust of wiind recently blew my Mavic Pro against a concrete wall, props stopped and it fell straight into a lake. It was sad, comical, and shocking all at once. I had no means of retrieving it immediately, and it was fully submerged (and powered on) for ~8 minutes. After retrieving it, I removed the battery, rinsed everything with distilled water, used compressed air, and submerged in rice until I got my hands on silica gel packets. The battery was originally fully charged and later showed 1 indicator bar a day after the crash, but now it's completely dead and will not charge. No idea if there's any sign of life for the drone itself.

Anyone in the Oakland/East Bay Area who has a spare Mavic Pro/Platinum battery which I can quickly connect to see if the drone turns on? It's a long shot, but want to cross it off the list before I invest in another one.

Thank you in advance!

There is a possibility it may have some form of life left.
If it was mine, it would live the rest of its life sitting on a shelf or being stripped for parts.
Water and DJI products are not a good mix and not worth the risk of having it fall out of the sky in any future flight. The interior circuit boards mixed with water and battery power won’t be happy.
Whatever you decide, be safe.

I think I would call it a loss and get a new one from Ebay or somewhere It may fly again Maybe after Many hours of work. BUT I give it a less than 1% chance. I really wouldnt want to plug in a buddies Battery.
